Pandan Layer Cake II ...... revisited again !

I was window shopping the other day and passed by a bakery shop.  On the window pane, I could see some deliciously looking varieties of cakes and buns.  Suddenly it caught my eyes, the green layers cake at one corner, oh, the Pandan Layer Cake!  Slurp........ it just makes me crave hungrily.

So the next day, to stop my craving, .... revisited here again my Pandan Layer Cake II.  I used back the same recipe from my  previous Pandan Layer Cake post  and have made some slight amendment too on the reduce coconut milk to 600ml and the pandan juice to 300ml to make it up overall both combination to 900ml together which I feel is just appropriate.

I hope you won't mind of me posting my Pandan Layer Cake II again.




Well, I made a fumble when baking the sponge cake in the oven where the tray was slot in slanting and disappointing turn out just 2 layers only!   I just go ahead to use the cake.






       Though it is not sky high in 3 layers, who cares, it is still delicious to indulge in!

  3. Your Pandan Layer Cake is so pretty. I'm sure the flavor is just as wonderful. Don't you just love inspiration from bakery stores? That's why I love going there so often. hehehe...

  5. Wow! Both of your pandan layer cake looks amazing! Did you use the babble wrapper for the top? I saw one blogger used that as a technique and I was simply amazed. Your cake looks absolutely gorgeous. Would love to have a piece (or more!). Yum!

    Well, actually the top layer print is from the base of my springform pan where it has some print below. When assemble, I reverse the technique assembling it.

    A look at your previous kaya layer (Pandan Kaya Layer Cake 1) has the same amount for both for the coconut milk and pandan juice. Hence, could you advise me where is the slight amendment for both liquid in Pandan Kaya Layer Cake 2?

    1. Hi Priscilla,
      The original recipe uses 800ml coconut milk which I feel is too much therefore I have amended to use 600ml coconut milk... I was lazy to retype the recipe out to pandan layer cake II, and I just change the recipe in Pandan Layer Cake I instead. Just feel free to use how much coconut milk and pandan juice as long as the overall combination comes out to 900ml. This is how I "played around" on coconut milk n pandan juice. Hope this is clear to you.

    2. If I still remember....I think I used about 5 pcs of pandan leaves to blend and mix up water to 300ml (pandan juice). I did not any green colouring in making this cake. It is all from the pandan juice.
